ReCBIR's endeavours pursue following GOALS:

1. to promote the research within the field of brain injury rehabilitation

  1.1. to enhance the understanding of the neural and cognitive mechanisms of functional recovery upon brain damage
   
  1.2. to develop and/or improve methods of clinical treatment of brain injured patients
   
  1.3. to evaluated methods of clinical treatment of brain injured patients
   

2. to promote the understanding of the potentials of various methods of brain injury therapy

  2.1. to promote communication between professional groups concerned with therapy as well as research within the field of brain damage rehabilitation
   
  2.2. to increase the public awareness of cost/benefits of ways of treating brain injury
   

3. to promote international collaboration and communication within the field of brain injury rehabilitation

  3.1. to develop international networks of clinical and basic brain injury rehabilitation research
   
  3.2. to create a platform for bilateral as well as multilateral meetings regarding brain injury rehabilitation topics
   

4. to promote the educations within the field of brain injury rehabilitation

  4.1. to create Ph.D. programmes as well as courses within the area of brain damage rehabilitation research
   
  4.2. to provide inspiration and information to existing educational programmes regarding topics within the area of brain injury rehabilitation
   
  4.3. to promote public distribution of scientific knowledge within the brain damage rehabilitation
