  BRAIN INJURY RELATED RESEARCH:   Development of long-term multiprofessional rehabilitation programme for persons with TBI sequalae. Development and introduction of new assessment and treatment tools mainly in the area of neuropsychology and occupational therapy. Evaluation of quality of life. Prevocational assessment and training. Kinesiological analysis of gait, with use of Bobath concept.

  POTENTIAL RESEARCH COLLABORATION WITHIN ReCBIR:   The unit is in touch with departments of acute care, but is not able to analyse results in acute care. It does not have  facilities for basic research.

4. DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF ACUTE AND EARLY-POSTACUTE INTERVENTIONS PROMOTING SUBSEQUENT REHABILITATION
                   
  POTENTIAL EDUCATIONAL COLLABORATION   The unit is responsible for education of students of medicine (short course of rehabilitation medicine) and much more for teaching of O.T. and P.T. students . It can organise courses or seminars with foreign participation and specialists from other departments visit for practical training.
